Learn how subscription plans work, including billing, features, and usage.

What's Included

All Stamps.com plans include the following features:

  • Discounted postage rates: Access reduced rates from carriers like USPS®, UPS®, and FedEx® compared to retail pricing.

  • Print stamps, labels, and forms: Create and print postage for envelopes, shipping labels, Certified Mail®, and international forms directly from your account.

  • Rate comparison tools: Compare available shipping options across carriers to choose the best rate or delivery speed for your needs.

  • Free scheduled pickups: Schedule USPS and UPS pickups so you can ship packages without visiting a drop-off location.

  • Centralized mailing and shipping: Manage users, track shipments, view reports, and monitor postage and shipping activity from a single account.

Plan Features and Usage

Features and limits vary by plan. Learn about common subscription settings, including users, usage, billing, and trial details.

Users and Seats

Each plan includes a set number of users. If you need additional users, you can purchase more seats.

Visit Add or Remove User Seats to learn more.

Usage Limits and Overage Fees

Some plans include usage limits, such as the number of stamps or shipping labels you can print each month.

If you exceed a limit:

  • You can continue printing

  • Additional usage is charged as an overage fee

  • Overage fees are applied only when limits are exceeded

Limited Trials

At the end of your trial:

  • Your account automatically transitions to a paid plan based on your trial offer or plan selection.

  • If you select a different plan during your trial, the selected plan becomes your paid plan when the trial ends.

  • If you do not select a plan during your trial, the default plan associated with your trial offer applies.

  • If you cancel your account before the trial ends, you will not be charged.

Billing and Subscription Changes

Stamps.com bills your monthly service fee on the same date each month, based on your signup date.

For example:

  • If you sign up on March 8, your bill date is April 8

  • If your bill date falls on a day that does not occur every month (such as the 30th or 31st), you are billed on the last day of the month

Your monthly service fee is based on your current plan and is charged to your payment method on file in arrears at the end of your billing cycle.

Changes during a billing cycle

Plan Changes

If you change your plan, timing depends on the type of change:

  • Upgrades: New features are available right away. Updated charges apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

  • Downgrades: Your current features remain available until the end of your billing cycle. The new plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Seat Changes

Adding seats may result in prorated charges based on the time remaining in your billing cycle. Visit Add or Remove User Seats to learn more.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which plan I'm on?

To view your current plan, go to your Account menu Small_SDC_Accountmenu_Icon.png in the top-right corener, then select Manage Account > Account Settings > Subscription Plan.

Are all features available on every plan?

No. Features and limits vary by plan and may change.

To review available plans and features for your account, go to the Account menu Small_SDC_Accountmenu_Icon.png in the top-right corner, then select Manage Account > Account Settings > Subscription Plan.

How do I change my plan or manage seats?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan and adjust the number of seats in your plan from your Account Settings.

Visit Change Your Account Subscription Plan and Add or Remove User Seats to learn more.

Can I switch back to my previous plan after upgrading?

If you switch from a plan that is no longer offered, you won’t be able to return to it. You can continue to choose from the plans that are currently available.

What happens if I exceed a plan limit?

If your plan includes limits, what happens next depends on the type of limit:

  • Usage limits (such as printing): You can continue using the feature, and additional usage is charged as an overage fee.

    • Stamp overage fee: 50% of the stamp cost (minimum $0.35, no maximum)

    • Shipping label overage fee: 15% of the shipping label cost (minimum $2, maximum $8 per shipping label)

  • User limits: You can purchase additional seats to add more users.

  • Feature limits: Some features may require a plan upgrade to access.

What happens if I add or remove users during a billing cycle?

Adding users may result in prorated charges for any additional seats added during your current billing cycle.

Removing users immediately removes access for that user and removes the associated seat. Charges for removed seats continue through the end of the current billing cycle.

What happens at the end of my trial?

At the end of your trial, your account automatically transitions to a paid plan based on your trial offer or plan selection.

If you select a different plan during your trial, the selected plan becomes your paid plan when the trial ends. If you do not select a plan, the default plan included with your trial offer applies.
