ODBC: Data Mapping Tables

Reference the below tables for detailed data mapping and field information when configuring import and postback options with Stamps.com ODBC.

Import Field Mapping Data Tables

These tables provide a list of fields you can map when configuring import options for ODBC.

Order Tab

FIELD NAME

FIELD TYPE

DESCRIPTION

Order ID

Alphanumeric

Required. Must be unique for each order. Can include special characters.

Order Date

Date/Time

Required. Date/time format must include values for year, month, date, hour, minute, and second.

Example: YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS

Ship Method

Alphanumeric

The requested shipping method for the order.

Package Value

Numeric

Specifies the amount the package should be insured for. Stamps.com insurance will be applied to the package.

Status

Alphanumeric

Required: Indicates the order's print status. This field is not required.

  • When this field is not mapped, all orders will be imported.

  • When mapped, only orders with a status of Not Printed or with no status will be imported.

Content Type

Alphanumeric

Used to declare the type of content in the package for customs.

Content Description

Alphanumeric

A detailed description of the package contents for customs.

Internal Transaction #

Alphanumeric

The Internal Transaction Number (ITN) for the package. See our Ship Internationally with Stamps.com help article for more information on Internal Transaction Numbers.

License #

Alphanumeric

License number for customs. Only applicable if the Content Type is Commercial Sample.

Certificate #

Alphanumeric

Certificate number for customs. Only applicable if the Content Type is Commercial Sample.

Invoice #

Alphanumeric

Invoice number for customs. Only applicable if the Content Type is Commercial Sample.

Items Tab

FIELD NAME

FIELD TYPE

SKU

Alphanumeric

SKU number for the item.

Name

Alphanumeric

Description for the item.

Quantity

Alphanumeric

The quantity of the item on the order.

Unit Price

Alphanumeric

The unit price for the item.

Unit Weight

Numeric

The weight of the item.

HS Tariff

Numeric

The Harmonized Tariff Code for customs. Learn more about HS codes.

Country of Origin

Alphanumeric

The country where the item was initially created and/or assembled for customs.

Mailpiece

Alphanumeric

Defines the type of package (Letter, Package, Flat Rate, etc.) for the shipment.

Service Code

Alphanumeric

Defines the carrier and service for the shipment.

Tracking Service

Alphanumeric

Defines the tracking service (Signature Required, UPS Delivery Confirmation, etc.) for the shipment.

Package Weight

Numeric

Specifies the weight of the package.

The unit of measure (grams, ounces, pounds) for the weight field can be specified by clicking the Weight button.

Package Length (in.)

Numeric

Length of the package in inches.

Package Width (in.)

Numeric

Width of the package in inches.

Package Height (in.)

Numeric

Height of the package in inches.

Print Message

Alphanumeric

Specifies any additional information, such as a custom message or reference number, that should appear on the printed label.

Recipient Tab

Full Name

Alphanumeric

The recipient's full name.

Use this option when the recipient's first and last name are imported from a single field.

First Name

Alphanumeric

The recipient's first name.

Use this option when the recipient's first and last names are imported from separate fields.

Last Name

The recipient's last name.

Use this option when the recipient's first and last names are imported from separate fields.

Company

Alphanumeric

The recipient's company name.

Address 1

Alphanumeric

The first line of the recipient's address.

Use this field for address lines 1 and 2 if there is only a single address line field in your data source.

Address 2

Alphanumeric

The second line of the recipient's address.

City

Alphanumeric

Recipient's city.

State

Alphanumeric

Recipient's state.

ZIP/Postal Code

Alphanumeric

Recipient's zip/postal code.

Country

Alphanumeric

Recipient's country.

Email

Recipient's email address.

The recipient's phone number.

Return Address Tab

Full Address

Alphanumeric

The full return address of the shipment.

Use this field when the entire return address is imported from a single field in your data source. Otherwise, map the individual fields below.

Name

Alphanumeric

The full name for the return address.

Company

Alphanumeric

The return address company name.

Address 1

Alphanumeric

The first line of the return address.

Use this field for address lines 1 and 2 if there is only a single address line field in your data source.

Address 2

Alphanumeric

The second line of the return address.

City

Alphanumeric

Return address city.

State

Alphanumeric

Return address state.

ZIP/Postal Code

Alphanumeric

Return address zip/postal code.

These tables provide a list of fields that you can map when configuring postback options for ODBC.

Package Tab

DESCRIPTION

Order ID

Alphanumeric

Required: The Order ID of the shipment.

Leading and/or trailing characters can be trimmed. Trimming is specified during the import field mapping setup when posting back to the same data source. However, when posting data back to a different table, trimming may need to be defined.

Mailpiece

Alphanumeric

Defines the type of package (Letter, Package, Flat Rate, etc.) for the shipment.

Service Code

Alphanumeric

Defines the carrier and service for the shipment.

Tracking Number

Alphanumeric

The tracking number of the shipment.

Mail Date

Numeric

The shipment date entered when configuring the shipping label.

The date and time format can be specified during the field mapping by clicking the Mail Date button.

Print Date

Numeric

The date the label was printed.

The date and time format can be specified during the field mapping by clicking the Print Date button.

Transaction ID

Alphanumeric

A unique value assigned to the shipment by the Stamps.com software.

Postage Amount

Numeric

The cost of the postage for the shipment.

Cost Code

Alphanumeric

The cost code assigned to the shipment.

Insured Value

Numeric

The amount the package was insured for.

Insurance Fee

Numeric

The cost to insure the package.

Status

Alphanumeric

The status of the order.

The Printed status will be posted back to your data source.

Weight

Numeric

Specifies the weight of the package.

The unit of measure (grams, ounces, pounds) for the weight field can be specified by clicking the Weight button.

Print Message

Alphanumeric

Specifies any additional information, such as a custom message or reference number, that should appear on the printed label.
