Check Windows Region and Date Settings

Incorrect region and date settings in Windows can cause errors in Stamps.com, like errors 8004041D and 80020005.

Follow the steps in this article to verify that your Windows 7 or Windows 10 region and date settings are correct.

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.

  2. Open Region (Windows 10) or Region and Language (Windows 7).

  3. Select the Format tab. Verify that the Format is set to English (United States).

  4. Click the Additional Settings button. Then, select the Date tab.

  5. Verify that the short and long date formats are set to:

    • Short Date: M/d/yyyy

    • Long Date: dddd, MMMM d, yyyy

  6. Click Apply, then OK.
