Change Your Account Service Plan

You can change your Stamps.com Service Plan to best suit your mailing and shipping needs at any time. To learn about what each plan has to offer, review the plan details on our subscription plan pricing page.

When you upgrade your plan to a higher-cost plan, the switch takes effect immediately. Your billing date will be updated to the date you changed your plan, and you will be charged the prorated amount on your next invoice.

When you downgrade your plan to a lower-cost plan, you will continue to enjoy the features of your current plan until the end of the billing period, with charges applied accordingly. You will not be prorated for plan downgrades. Your updated subscription fee will begin on the first day of your next billing cycle.

New Plans and Legacy Plans

Stamps.com introduced new subscription plans in October of 2023. Any account started after October 15th, 2023, will be on one of our new plans. Accounts started prior to this date will be on our Legacy plans. We are not requiring accounts on our Legacy plans to change their subscription at this time.

Depending on your account's plan - new or legacy - the images you see in this article may not reflect what you see in your account settings.

To change your service plan:

How does my billing cycle work?

Stamps.com bills your monthly service fee on the same date each month. Your billing date is the date you registered your account.

For example, if you sign up on March 8, you will be billed on April 8. If your billing date falls on a day that does not occur every month, such as the 30th or 31st, you will be billed on the last day of the month. For example, if you sign up on January 30th, your next bill will be issued on February 28th or 29th, depending on whether it's a leap year, followed by March 31st.

Stamps.com will calculate your monthly service fee based on your service plan and charge your credit card accordingly.
