Cost Codes are labels you assign to shipments to organize and track your shipping activity. Each code can represent a specific purpose, making it easier to group and report on shipping costs.
Use Cost Codes to:

Track shipping expenses by client or project

Allocate costs across departments or teams

Monitor spending for specific campaigns or initiatives
Cost Codes help you:

Automatically receive monthly reports: If you use more than one Cost Code in a given month, we will automatically email you an end-of-month report showing the postage expenditure for each Cost Code.

To use Cost Codes, your account must meet the following requirements:

Your account must be on a supported plan.

The number of Cost Codes available may vary by account.
When creating a shipment, select a Cost Code to assign the shipment to a specific category. This allows you to track and report on shipping activity based on that code.

If your account has multiple locations, Cost Codes can be shared or managed at the location level.
