The Shipper Toolbar allows you to import an order from your ODBC data source (a database, CSV file, or Excel spreadsheet) by entering the order number into the Order ID field or with a barcode scan. This may be useful when you wish to only import the order you are currently shipping.
This article will guide you through importing orders using the Shipper Toolbar and configuring the Shipping Toolbar preferences.

The Shipper Toolbar is available to Stamps.com customers on the E-commerce plan.

The toolbar is available in the PC software only. Download the software from the Stamps.com website.

You must have an ODBC data source (your database, CSV file or Excel Spreadsheet) connected to the PC software
To import orders with the Shipper Toolbar:

Select Show Shipper Toolbar from the Tools menu.

Select the ODBC source from the Profile drop-down menu.

Enter an order number into the Order ID field. Then, click the Get Order button.
The order will be imported and displayed in the Packages tab.
Import Orders with a Barcode Scanner
Did you know that it is also possible to import orders with a barcode scanner? You can! To get started, plug your barcode scanner into your computer's USB port. The PC software will automatically recognize any barcode scanners that can emulate keyboard entry.

Configure the Postage Details and the Print Details are correct. Then, click Print Postage.
To configure how the Shipper Toolbar handles Order IDs:

Choose Preferences from the File menu.

Select the ODBC tab. Then, set the Order ID options that work best for your workflow.

Warn if Order ID changed but not loaded when printing: Enable this option to be warned if the Order ID has changed but that order has not been retrieved from the database when you attempt to print. This scenario may cause you to inadvertently print the previously-loaded order.

Allow printing without Order ID: Select this option if you expect to print shipping labels from both the shipper toolbar and by manually filling in the fields in the postage printing window.

Warn if printing without an Order ID: Select this option to receive a warning dialog box when you attempt to print a shipping label by manually filling in the fields in the postage printing window.

Clear Order ID field after each print: Select this option to automatically clear the Order ID field after printing to prevent inadvertently printing the same order more than once.
