About Locations

Many companies divide their operations into service areas that make sense for their production needs. Often, within those service areas, there are multiple worksites that serve a variety of purposes within that production and shipping flow.

To simply your workflow within your Multi-Location (Enterprise) Stamps.com account we have a Location feature so that you have more granular control over your operations. This article explains the basics of what Locations are and how different account admin types interact with them.

Locations are the most popular way for companies with multiple warehouse sites to structure their account. The Corporate Admin sets up each Location. Then location specific settings are managed by a Location Admin, enabling your company to create the shipping workflow that best suits each of your sub teams.

Things to Consider about Locations

  • Any settings the Corporate Admin has applied will override the Location Admin settings if relevant.

  • Corporate Admins are not able to perform the tasks of a Location Admin.

    • If the Location Admin is unavailable, the Corporate Admin can add an additional user to the location and select the Location Admin role. Stamps.com will send them an account activation email. Once activated they can login to perform any functions as the Location Admin.

  • Location Admins only have authority over their individual location.
